NIGHT
VIGIL |

On Fridays before
the second Saturdays of every month, night vigil is conducted.
More than 50,000 people from far and wide take part in it
and return with numberless blessings received. From several
places, people come in special vehicles which are blessed
during the vigil. |
The vigil starts
with Holy mass at 4.30 P.M on Friday in the shrine of the
IMS Amma, and concludes with the con-celebration of solemn
Holy mass at 4 A.M on the next day which come to a close by
5 A.M. After the Holy mass on Friday evening, there is honouring
of the Holy Bible, that is, the Holy Bible is taken in procession
from the alter of the main chapel of IMS and brought to the
stage erected in the pandal arranged for the adoration. |
After honoring
the Bible, there is novena, followed by the proclamations
of the word of God, adoration, counseling and confessions.
